The Grief Support Ministry is designed to provide spiritual support during the grief process caused by loss in various ways. The primary means of support is to assist families in planning the Celebration of Life service for their loved one and through GriefShare, a nationwide support group.
The Ministry is comprised of three teams to fulfill this mission: Funeral Planning, GriefShare and Care Teams. The Funeral Planning Team will meet with a family spokesperson to assist with planning the Celebration of Life for their loved one. GriefShare Facilitators and the Care Teams work together to provide a welcoming and safe space where the hurting learn to navigate the path of grief. This is achieved by viewing encouraging videos from leading grief recovery experts, engaging in group discussion about content in the videos, personal journaling and completing the GriefShare workbook activities. These materials are biblically based leading to healing, comfort and hope in Jesus Christ.
